The U.S. Hispanic Business Council (USHBC) has extended congratulations to Don Salazar, Chairman of the USHBC & CEO of Creative Times, Inc. for receiving the 2022 Maestro Award for Community Service.

The Maestro Awards are awarded annually by The Latino Leaders Magazine in recognition of the contributions and outstanding efforts of Hispanic leaders.

The magazine was founded by Raul and Jorge Ferraez for the purposes of highlighting the stories of top Latino leaders across the country, including politicians, business owners, and sports stars.

As CEO of Creative Times, Inc. Salazar has overseen the specialty design-build construction company as it has handled thousands of projects ranging in cost from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions.

For three decades, Salazar has dedicated himself to improving the Hispanic community alongside his work at Creative Times, Inc.

“I am humbled to be recognized by Latino Leaders with this wonderful award. I am delighted to join the ranks of some of our nation's greatest leaders,” said Don Salazar, Chairman of the USHBC.

“I remain committed to the notion that Hispanic businesses are critical to America's future and I am privileged to lead the amazing board and staff of the USHBC,” he added.

Salazar has previously served as Chairman of the Board at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Ogden Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, he has served on the Advisory Board for Zions Bank, the oldest banking institution in Utah.

“The Maestro Award recognizes our nation’s finest and the board and staff of the USHBC are beaming with pride over this well-deserved recognition of our Chairman Mr. Don Salazar!” said Javier Palomarez, President & CEO of the USHBC.

“The epitome of a servant leader, whose quiet and humble demeanor belies a strategic and visionary leadership that has served the American small business community for decades,” he continued.

The other 2022 Maestro Award honorees being celebrated alongside Salazar include Manolo Diaz, Carolina Viera, Jesus Martinez, Tere Alvarez Candida, and Ileana Musa.

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 20.
