On June 8, Congreso de Latinos Unidos — a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Latino economic self-sufficiency and wellbeing — announced that Oscar Budejen had been appointed to their board of directors.

Budejen’s career began in Caracas, Venezuela, working for Procter & Gamble as Associate Director of Marketing for their Health/Beauty Care and Laundry products, from 1987 to 1995.

Since then, Budejen has worked for numerous companies and organizations across various industries, most recently being his position as the Vice President of Strategy, Growth, and Customer experience for Fidelum Partners for the past seven and a half years.

Fidelum Partners is a research and data analytics firm focusing on customer loyalty insights and strategies. During his time with the company, Budejen provided consulting and professional services to clients seeking to accelerate their company's growth, transformation, marketing, and customer experience initiatives.

Prior to joining Fidelum, he worked for 12 years at Aramark as Vice President, serving as VP of Channel Growth & Marketing (2011-2015) and Strategic marketing, Corporate Strategy & Development (2003-2011). He was also a member of Aramark’s Executive Council.

In this role, he was responsible for the company's Healthcare and Higher Education businesses, its retail businesses, and created plans for growth across its Food, Hospitality, and Facility Services in a partnership with McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and the Boston Consulting Group.

Budejen has also spent 5 years with The Coca-Cola Company in their Global Marketing Group, leading their team as they made development strategies and programs to improve their revenue, working with many notable entertainment companies, including The Walt Disney Company, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and FIFA.

Alongside his work, Budejen has been a sports announcer for multiple different sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Currently, he is the main play-by-play sports radio commentator for the Philadelphia Phillies Spanish broadcast, and is the color analyst for the Philadelphia Eagles Spanish broadcast.

"I am honored to be joining the Board of Congreso, an organization that I have supported, have seen grow over the past decade, and that does so many important things for the development of our city and the Hispanic community," Budejen said in a statement.

"From the work at the Pan-American Academy educating our youth, to enabling jobs through workforce education readiness programs, to providing healthcare services to our people, Congreso is a very special place," he continued.

Budejen earned his Bachelor's in Economics/Finance & Marketing/Management, and his MBA in Marketing both from Mercer University's Stetson School of Business and Economics.
