Stranger Things premiered its fourth season in Barranquilla, Colombia

Barranquilla was the only city in Latin America that opened one of the portals to The Other Side of Stranger Things.

This Thursday night at the 'Plaza de las Luces' of the Gran Malecón del Río in the capital of the Atlántico, fans of the Netflix series, 'Stranger Things', heeded the call of the renowned platform to witness the launch of its 4th season.

"The mysterious and dark world of Stranger Things that houses Demogorgons and Desuellamentes will take the city of Barranquilla to celebrate the launch of the fourth season of the series Stranger Things, which will premiere its volume 1 on Netflix next Friday, May 27th", said the streaming content company.

In the early afternoon, thousands of Barranquilleros, including fans, curious and families, turned to the Gran Malecón to experience the prelude to the series, which is available from Monday on the streaming platform.

At the event, attendees were able to observe light shows and projections, in addition to the accompaniment of live musical bands, which followed the theme of the well-known series.

In addition to Colombia, the cracks began to appear in some of the most iconic monuments around the world in 14 countries, including the Empire State Building in New York; Bondi Beach in Australia; the Duomo square in Milan; the Malecón de Barranquilla in Colombia; the Gateway of India in Mumbai; Menara Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; Al-'Ula National Monument in Saudi Arabia; Cologne Media Park in Germany; XBox Plaza in downtown Los Angeles; Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland; Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm; and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao; the Telefónica building at Gran Vía 28 in Madrid; and Plaza del Callao in Madrid, Spain. Other locations include Shoreditch (London) and Tokyo (Japan). 

The event was attended by the current queen of the Barranquilla Carnival, Valeria Charris, as well as several influencers from the coast. The reactions of the attendees were varied on social media.
