Chef and humanitarian José Andrés and his three daughters travel through Spain on an epic gastronomic adventure in a new Discovery+ series. While visiting the country's famous regions and cities, the family becomes deeply immersed in the country's delicious culinary culture. From sumptuous tapas to fragrant cookies fit for a king, they visit incredible places on a quest to discover the culinary secrets and traditions of José's homeland. Along the way, they meet local food experts, chefs, and old friends who guide them through the delicious world of Spanish food.

This television miniseries, called José Andrés and Family in Spain, premiered on Dec. 27, 2022 and has so far aired four episodes corresponding from its first season.

In the first episode, the renowned Spanish chef and his daughters Carlota, Inés and Lucía visit Catalonia and make a necessary stop at the restaurant El Bulli, run by renowned Catalan chef Ferrán Adrià.

In the second episode, José and his daughters travel to the south of the Peninsula to Andalusia, where they delight in culinary treasures closely linked to the sea and immerse themselves in history and flamenco.

In the third episode, the family makes a stop in the capital city of Madrid, where they can't resist trying one of the most-internationally recognized delicacies — ham. And to appease their sweet tooth, they try chocolate with churros.

When it comes to the classics of Spanish food tradition, the Valencian paella is a must. For this reason, in the fourth episode, Andrés takes his daughters to the Valencian Community to discover the secrets of this recipe and the famous local festivals called Fallas.

Throughout the program, the family will also visit Lanzarote (in the Canary Islands) and Asturias, in the north of the Peninsula, where the chef was born in 1969.
