“Darcy and Tom reunite their families for the wedding of the century just as the couple is beginning to fear commitment. And to make matters worse, the lives of all the attendees will be in danger when in the middle of the celebration they are taken hostage. ‘Until death do us part’ takes on a new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-filled adventure where Darcy and Tom must save the lives of their loved ones, if they don't kill each other first," reads the synopsis of the new Prime Video production, Shotgun Wedding.

The romantic comedy stars Latina actress, businesswoman and singer Jennifer López alongside Josh Duhamel. Jennifer Coolidge, who plays Carol, renowned Brazilian actress Sonia Braga, and famous pop-rock singer Lenny Kravitz are also on the cast alongside Cheech Marin, Selena Tan, D'Arcy Carden, Callie Hernandez, Desmin Borges, and Steve Coulter.

In addition to playing the leading role of Shotgun Wedding, López was also the producer of the film.

The film was directed by Jason Moore. The script was written by Liz Meriwether and Mark Hammer.

Shotgun Wedding will premiere on Prime Video on Jan. 27.

Shotgun Wedding is also not the only movie starring Jennifer Lopez to be released exclusively on streaming platforms. The other production that will premiere in 2023 is The Mother, set to be available on Netflix soon.

This action thriller, which was partially shot in the Canary Islands, tells the story of a woman (played by López) who must abandon her status as a fugitive to save the life of her daughter. The film is directed by New Zealand's Niki Caro. In addition to the Latina actress and businesswoman, Gael García Bernal, Lucy Paez, Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, and Paul Raci are part of the cast.
