Colombian singer-songwriter Santiago Cruz recently dropped Nueve, a new album that's out to remember the different moments of life and love through his songs.
"It is a reflective, narrative and nostalgic album. A very special moment to breathe again after the storm," Cruz said in a statement shared by EFE.
The title of Cruz's album, as he explained, refers to the different meanings of the number nine, which "is the maximum number that contains all the others and there is no other above it."
Among the new songs on the album is one with Colombian singer Andres Cepeda, who was excited from the jump to record "El gran teatro," a song inspired by heartbreak.
"Rarely does one have the opportunity to sing a song live the same day of the release, and less if it is a duet, and less with a Symphony Orchestra," wrote Cruz on social media about a performance he put on in Quito, Ecuador with Cepeda, where they performed "El gran teatro" for the first time.
Cepeda was a surprise guest at Cruz's concert in Ecuador and he joined to perform their new song together.
After the release of the album, Cruz will perform a series of concerts from his Después de la tormenta Tour in several Latin American cities, starting in Bogota on April 21.
