On Tuesday, Feb. 8, urban artist Karol G announced she is about to release a new song in collaboration with Becky G. It means two of the biggest female voices of the urban genre are together for the first time. 

Karol G was the first to share a post with a photo of both singers posing together accompanied by the word "Mami." The post immediately sparked madness among her fans, who have long dreamed of seeing them collaborate on the same song. 

"Salud MAMI," commented La Bichota on the same post. Less than an hour after it was post, it surpassed 500,000 likes.

Days before the announcement, Karol G announced to her followers on Twitter that an anthem was coming. The Colombian ended the post with the phrase "Salud, Mami," which turned out to be a clue for the new song.

Carolina Giraldo Navarro, better known as Karol G, is a Colombian singer and leader of the female movement in the urban genre. 

She launched internationally with the song "301" alongside singer Reykon in 2012, which positioned her at the top of several radio stations and television channels.
