"I am Blessd and I am from Medellin, Colombia, representing the land in this super Super Bowl LVII," wrote the artist.
Blessd's team said it is an important invitation for the singer because the Super Bowl is "an event in which advertising plays a key role in brand positioning and in which the artist will include in his performance, not only his latest album Siempre Blessd but also promote his next release, 'AP.'"
Super Bowl LVII is this Sunday between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
This year's halftime show will feature a performance by Rihanna, who joins the list of women who performed at halftime like Diana Ross, Madonna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
