Alfredo Rojas played amateur soccer in his native Colombia and was the goalkeeper of his college team in the USA. While covering the FIFA World Cup ’94, he wrote a soccer column for the printed edition of AL DIA and did so for several years. He currently resides in North Jersey where he continued playing the game until age and injuries mandated a forceful retirement of the active practice of the sport.
