The Historical Society of Pennsylvania celebrated its annual Founder's Awards Gala at the National Constitution Center by honoring three individuals for their exemplary service while also showcasing the newest exhibit titled " American Treasures: Documenting the Nation's Founding". It is an exhibit that highlights the founding era through never before seen drafts of the U.S. Constitution, that included Pennsylvania Delegate James Wilson's handwritten drafts.

The three individuals honored were author James McBride received the Founder's award, while HSP Board member Alice L. George and Library Company of Philadelphia Director John Van Horne were honored with Heritage Awards. Silent Auctions were also held during the evening to raise funds for the HSP.  The Exhibition opens on may 4th.
