Whoever said that a game of ping pong can't be fun?  On Monday, SPiN celebrated its new Philadelphia location with a launch party at the One Liberty Observation Deck. The event was filled with ping pong aficionados as well as first time  players. Players from the Philadelphia Eagles as well as representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey were in attendance.

The social club began in the spring of 2007 with several ping pong parties in Tribeca loft of New York City.  These Friday night parties were known originally as ‘Naked Ping-Pong’, which began with a few friends showing up to a few hundred. From artists and models to bankers and hipsters to celebrities and ping pong professionals, the diversity of the crowd fueled the fun and vibrant energy that continues today. In the summer of 2009, SPiN opened its flagship location in New York City.

The 12,000 square foot social club, complete with 17 Ping Pong tables, Full Service Catering, and Bar will open this summer at 15th and Walnut Streets. For more information concerning SPiN, go to their website at www.wearespin.com
