For the 29th year, the Philadelphia "Pride" Parade made its way from 13th and Locust in Center City towards Independence Hall, finally ending at Penn's Landing.  Pride parades have been occurring in the city since 1972, but because of a successful impromptu parade in 1988, community leaders got together to establish an organization that would coordinate a gay pride parade and festival in Philadelphia every June.
